Working closely with OGC, the MOD has produced best practice
criteria against which performance can be measured. The comparison of project
performance against these criteria has been formalised into the OGC Gateway*
process, formerly known as Key Stage Peer Review (KSPR). OGC Gateway Review
provides project sponsors with comparative performance reports and assurance at
key decision points in the CADMID cycle and is an important part of project
control and delivery of improvement in project performance. AMTEC is supporting the MOD in the OGC Gateway and KSPR process,
and enriching best practice from current project management, project advisory
and review feedback experience. Our credentials include:
| AMTEC project and programme managers span a full range of public
and private sector backgrounds, and individual consultants typically have over
ten years of relevant experience. With a pragmatic approach to project
management, leaning heavily towards the methodologies and procedures of PRINCE2
(adopted by the MOD), we have completed assignments in which project values
range from several thousand to several billion pounds. Our project and programme management expertise enables us to act as
advisors when we are not actively managing a project. Advice includes specific
activities at the initiation and appraisal of new programmes / projects, through
preparation for and execution of reviews, followed by the implementation of
recovery action plans, when necessary. This experience has made AMTEC programme and project managers the
natural choice for external, non-advocate reviewers (for OGC Gateway Reviews,
KSPRs, and most recently DWP Gateway Reviews). (*The term "Gateway" refers to OGC
Gateway. OGC Gateway is a Trade Mark of the Office of
Government Commerce.) | ||||||
