AMTEC's ACUMEN Consortium has won a framework agreement from the Office for
Criminal Justice Reform (OCJR) to supply consultants for project management,
business case and evaluation, and human resources, including learning and
development.
The framework will supply resources to OCJR's Project Delivery Unit to provide
new, flexible ways of working that are at the forefront of change within the
civil service. OCJR is a trilateral organisation housed by the Ministry of
Justice and comprised of Ministry of Justice, Home Office and CPS staff, working
together to reform the criminal justice system.
From April 07, the Project Delivery Unit has been established to deliver a
wide range of policy and IT enabled business change projects. Many of these will
have "clients" elsewhere in OCJR or indeed across the CJS departments.
Examples include:
- radical streamlining of magistrates' court business,
- policy development and co-ordination on pre-court disposals,
- roll-out of new standards and services for victims and witnesses,
- reduction in the number of unexecuted bail warrants.
AMTEC established the ACUMEN Consortium to participate in OGC's Catalist
Specialist Contractors Framework - a pre-qualification for participation in the
OCJR's framework competition.
