AMTEC Consulting is one of just four suppliers to win a place on a
prestigious new framework awarded by the Department for Environment, Food and
Rural Affairs (Defra).
The Project and Programme Management (PPM) framework will provide a wide range
of resource and expertise to support the strategic objectives of Defra over the
next four years. This will include support for a number of organisational-level
initiatives, such as new ways of working, improved approaches to
policy-development and an increased focus on PPM - all intended to drive through
and deliver Defra's organisational aims and objectives.
"Once again, a key Cabinet-level department is endorsing our PPM consultancy
services," says Russell Wolak, AMTEC Account Director for the environment
sector. "This award paves the way for a continuation of our long-standing
partnership with Defra and its agencies. For example, one of our largest
projects to date concerned the creation of Natural
England, for which we provided extensive consulting and resourcing
services to many aspects of this challenging organisational merger."
AMTEC is the only supplier to win all eleven regional lots on the new
framework, covering London, South East, South West, East of England, East
Midlands, West Midlands, Yorkshire and the Humber, North West, North East, Wales
and Scotland.
The framework provides PPM resource and expertise to all
parts of Defra, covering the following grades:
- Project Directing
- Programme Management
- Project Management
- Project and Programme Support Office Management
- Project and Programme Administration
The Defra award is the latest in a series of project and programme management
framework agreements won by AMTEC during the last few years. Others
include the Department for Work and Pensions, National Policing Improvement
Agency, the Ministry of Justice and OGCbuying.solutions (Catalist).
