AMTEC Consulting has been appointed by the Strategic Advisory Board for
Intellectual Property (SABIP) as one of a limited number of service providers on
its Research Services Framework.
SABIP was established
in 2008 to advise Ministers and the Chief Executive of the Intellectual Property
Office on the development of intellectual property (IP) policy. The new
framework will provide the non-departmental public body with easy access to
research and consultancy support in the following areas:
- literature reviews on legal, economic, business, social and consumer aspects of IP,
- impact assessment and cost-benefit analysis of intellectual property rights (IPR),
- economic analysis of the effects of particular types of IP and IPR,
- fieldwork to explore business, creator and consumer responses to various forms of IP and IPR,
- comparative international reviews of the nature and effects of IP systems.
When it comes to exploiting the intellectual property owned by public sector
organisations, recent shifts in UK policy and regulation have created a climate
for change. AMTEC Consulting helps organisations to understand and comply with
this new landscape and unlock the potential value from the intellectual assets
they own. See AMTEC Intellectual property for more information.
