AMTEC wins place on Catalist Interim defence framework Interim managers are used more to direct change, deliver essential projects
and improve business, and less for their traditional gap management role,
according to the first industry-wide survey*, carried out by the Interim
Management Association (IMA). With the defence sector facing an increasing number of initiatives and
international events, the use of interim managers to own functions and drive
programmes is seen as a cost-effective method of achieving complex change,
meeting new operational requirements and providing cover during deployments.
This trend is reflected across the public sector, which now accounts for the
largest part of an interim market estimated at £560m* p.a. Recognising this growing business, the government has for the first time
included interim management as a main category in the Catalist framework
procurement mechanism (previously S-Cat). In July 2006, OGCbuying.solutions selected AMTEC Consulting as an accredited
supplier of interim management to the defence sector, the 15th category won by
the company under Catalist. Together with our coverage across DCSA, Key Stage Peer Review, and DLO
frameworks, the latest award makes AMTEC a leading accredited supplier of
consulting, interim and resources to the public sector and allows us to provide
a comprehensive service through the full consultancy life-cycle - from strategy
development through to benefit realisation. ends *Ipsos MORI for the Interim Management Association | Media enquiries
