Public sector specialist, AMTEC Consulting, continues as a preferred supplier
to the Ministry of Defence (MOD) after its framework agreement with the Defence
Communication Services Agency (DCSA) was extended for a further year. Awarded the original framework in 2002, AMTEC will now provide IS and business
management consultancy to the MOD and other government departments until 31st
August 2007. AMTEC provides a robust interface between the MOD and its suppliers, enabling
its MOD clients to keep control of major programmes and protect the interests of
forces on the ground. AMTEC also manages a 25-strong team of specialist
reviewers accredited for the Key Stage Peer Review (KSPR) process. Commenting on the latest success, AMTEC MD Craig Wilson acknowledges,
"Key frameworks such as DCSA and Catalist confirm our standing in the
UK government and defence sectors and offer a quick and easy procurement route
for our clients without having to go to open competition. This year we celebrate
our 20th anniversary and the MOD was one of our first clients - so we are
delighted to be recognised as one of their key suppliers of consultancy
skills." MOD personnel are invited to visit AMTEC - stand 41 - at the UK's premier
defence event, DCSA06, at Cardiff's International Arena, October 10th-12th. This
will be our fourth year at the event and a number of consultants will be
available over the three days to offer advice and assistance on delivering
successful projects. (Please note that DCSA06 is a closed event open to MOD and
other government departments only.) See also our entry in the DCSA catalogue - IS and business management
