NAO reports on the effectiveness of OGCbuying.solutions
The National Audit Office (NAO) has published a detailed report that evaluates how well OGCbuying.solutions is delivering value for money on behalf of the UK public sector.
The report, which contains a lot of useful information for public sector organisations and suppliers, can be found at: www.nao.org.uk/publications.
The NAO has also launched a new tool to help the public sector to assess whether it is obtaining value-for-money from its use of consultants. This can be found at:www.nao.org.uk.
OGCbuying.solutions primary role is to maximise the value for money obtained by government departments and other public bodies, through the procurement and supply of goods and services.
Their portfolio of work is designed to offer public sector organisations better value for money than they could achieve elsewhere. The aim is to give organisations access to lower prices than they could achieve and enable them to reduce their process costs by avoiding the need for them to let and manage their own procurement.
