Business continuity for information management professionals
One of the major challenges facing today's records managers and archivists is the problem of preserving and protecting data and information assets. While this challenge is not new, modern methods and technologies for handling data are matched by a multitude of threats, ranging from traditional, e.g natural disasters, to technology and procedural failures and many more.
AMTEC Consulting's Malcolm Beach will address these business continuity issues at a one-day UNICOM mini-conference - Records Management 2008: Preserving and Protecting Data and Information Assets, to be held in London on Wednesday 27th February 2008.
Malcolm will deliver two presentations which will help Records and Information professionals to safeguard information assets:
  • "Business Continuity for Information Management professionals"
  • "Issues facing businesses today and how Records Management can help"
Malcolm Beach, a Senior Consultant (Information and Knowledge Management) at AMTEC and a specialist in EDRMS, is currently working on-site at Acas (the Advisory, Conciliation and Arbitration Service).
